MISS YOU CANDACE

My bestest friend Candace drove down from Charleston, SC last weekend to visit since we moved. She is expecting her first baby (a boy) in July and we are soooo excited for her and Jens. We had the best time hanging out by the pool and talking about what to expect once the baby arrives. I had to stop Stan a few times from freaking her out. As all of us with kids know, having a baby changes everything!
Needless to say, Maddie and Callie are thrilled to spoil little Breck the next time they visit.

GEORGE WASHINGTON DOO

Callie came running into the house yesterday after swimming at our neighbors pool sporting a new hairdo. She calls it the "George Washington". She and Maddie try to out-do the other with crazy wet hairstyles in the pool. I wish that was all it took to entertain me!

HAVE BIKE, WILL TRAVEL

My birthday was last week and I guess Stan was trying to tell me something. he gave me a bike for my birthday!!! Well, to be honest, I had asked for another one since Maddie confiscated mine since she is almost grown now and I needed a more comfortable bike.
I ride it everyday for at least an hour in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood is huge(mystoneybrookwest.com) -lots of places to ride. Even though I just turned the corner on 40, I feel like I'm eight again when I'm riding my bike.
We now all go for bike rides in the neighborhood. I never thought I'd see Stan not working long enough to enjoy a simple bike ride.

WHO'S GOT THE BIGGEST BASS?

Stan is in his element living around all these lakes down here. He has boat fever!! Austin, Stan's boss in Tenn. brought his boat down a few months ago and left it at their office. When Austin comes down periodically, they go out on Sat ams to fish in the lakes close by. Callie went with them on their second trip and put them to shame!! She not only caught a fish on her first cast she caught the biggest bass of the day-at least 6 lbs. Of course, they put all of the fish back, but there has been some serious talk about the biggest one that got away (according to Austin and Stan).
Stan, me and the girls went out 2 weeks ago and we had a great time. I caught several big picoral and garr (spelling?) that were as long as your finger to forearm.
This am, Callie and I baited hooks with old bread and caught a dozen or more catfish out of our backyard lake. They were HUGE!!

ANGEL AND LOLA JOIN OSCAR

Parents are such suckers!! We thought we were done with animals after we got our dog Oscar a few years ago, but nooooo!! We are now proud parents of two female guinea pigs named Angel and Lola. The girls got them for Christmas after weeks of constant pleading. We decided that since we moved right before Christmas and Santa had no time to get gifts to us, this would be a simple fix. Well, those little buggers eat more than the kids do. They eat lettuce, peppers, carrots, celery, cabbage, fruit, bread, etc. They are sweet but they drive Oscar insane!! The girls take them out of their crate everyday and play with them. The dog wants to find the squeaker in a bad way!!

THANKS MOM AND LESLIE

My Mom and sister Leslie came down to visit for two weeks recently. We burned the highways up shopping the outlet malls and taking in all the sites. Thank goodness for the GPS!! Mom and I got to take the girls to SeaWorld during their Spring Break and we all had a ball!!
Both my mom and my sister got fried in this sun down here. They sat out in the backyard for a few hours and they were surprised how strong the March/early April sun is. Can't wait for July and August. I may be visiting all of you in the Northeast!!

BEAUTIFUL BACKYARD VIEWS

Well, I thought we had a nice yard in Kennesaw, but we are so loving our views from our back screened lanai!! We have a beautiful lake with a fountain and tons of ducks, egrets and cranes to look at everyday. The sunsets are unbelievable! I wish you all could be here to have a glass of wine with me at 7pm when the sun goes down!
Come visit!!

OPEN FLOORPLAN

Our new home is sooo different from our old Kennesaw house. We love the open vaulted downstairs floorplan and the master bedroom on the main. The girls bedrooms and bath are upstairs along with the loft that has the computer/office. They have their own space and we have ours. Great!!

HOME SWEET HOME

Well, for all of those I have not spoken to in a while, the Brown's have moved to Orlando, Fl!! We love it! The climate, people, and outdoor lifestyle is great. Thanks to everyone who helped with the transition.
I haven't finished with decorating our house (who ever is?) but I wanted to attach a few photos of what we have done with it so far.
Hardwood floors, paint and new light fixtures were a couple of improvements.
