CALLIE'S FIELD TRIP TO ST AUGUSTINE

I was fortunate enough to be able to chaparone Callie's fourth grade field trip to St Augustine. Neither Callie nor myself had been there before, so we were really excited to see the sights and learn the history.

We spent close to 6 hrs there and it took close to 2 hrs to get there. We were able to see the oldest home, oldest schoolhouse, the living quarters of the soldiers, the fort "Castillo", the Fountain of Youth, and the downtown area that Henry Flagler built.

We had a beautiful day and rode the trolley through town and walked the Spanish Colony for shopping. We had a wonderful day and I felt so fortunate to enjoy this special time with Callie and her friends!
