A big shout out to my sisters, Susan and Leslie and my Mom for putting me and the girls up this week. Mom, thanks for picking us up at the airport and having us for the weekend. We had a great time.
Susan, thanks for a wonderful, relaxing week at your beautiful beach house in Avalon. It was great to see you and the kids. If it weren't for the distance from Florida, we would be there all the time!
Leslie, You are a hoot! We laughed so much together this week. You are the best. Thanks for driving back to the airport and putting up with rooming with me and the
girls. And remember "there's always tommorrow" and "it's too late to apologize"!!

HAPPY 5OTH B-DAY, UNCLE BILL!!

While visiting with my family in Avalon, NJ , we all decided to celebrate my brother Bill's 50th birthday coming up. Bill may be turning 50 but he still acts and looks much younger! Maddie and Callie love to see Uncle Bill because he is as crazy as they are. Happy Birthday, Bill-we love you sooo much!

FUN IN AVALON, NJ

After a few days at Mom and Leslie's house, we all drove up to stay at my sister Susan's beachhouse in Avalon, NJ. What a place!! We spent the week laying out on the beach, collecting sea shells and catching up with my sisters, Mom and my Aunt Charlotte. We were so excited that my brother Bill was able to coordinate a business trip to NY to drive over to stay the night. Hard to believe that 3 years have passed since the four of us siblings have all been together. Too Long!!

OUR TRIP TO VIRGINIA

Last week, the girls and I flew to DC to visit with my Mom and sister Leslie in northern VA. We had such a great time catching up with the family. The girls were thrilled to see their cousins. We had not visited Mom's house since her big b-day bash 3 years ago.
We visited some old haunts of mine like Mary Washington University and Carl's ice cream shop in downtown Fredricksburg. It was a blast from the past -20 years since I had been to either place. Lots of great memories and I was so happy that my girls got to see my old school. It was really special!

HAPPY 4TH !!!

We had a great 4th of July with our neighbors this year. Our neighbors, Mark and Sonja had the street over to their house for barbeque and swimming in their pool. The kids had a blast swimming and sliding on the HUGE inflatable they had set up in their yard. Later, at dark, it was a big competition between Stan and Mark on who had the biggest and best fireworks.
Stan has confessed his pyromaniac obsession and he had been collecting fireworks for the past few weeks. As you can see in the pics, he even built a stand to launch them. The cul de sac was blocked off and everyone was sitting out watching the show. It was great!! It looked like a professional fireworks show.

NEW PUPPY MYA

We always knew one day we would get another dog to keep Oscar active, we just decided to do it while I was home and the kids were home for summer break. We found the most adorable miniature longhaired chocolate dachsund. We named her Mya and she is 6 weeks old. The girls have been great about the house training and she sleeps with Maddie every night so Stan and I can get our sleep. We have every toy imaginable (pink, of course) and the house feels like we brought home a newborn. Oscar wants to chew her ears off and loves to charge her-he has no idea how much bigger he is than her!! We now have our little Oscar Mya weiner dogs.
